More Than a Restaurant
Bread of Life Café began in the early 1990s when Sandy Tucker opened a small Christian bookstore in downtown Liberty. Looking for a way to bring more people through the doors, four tables were added to serve homemade soup and sandwiches during lunch.
What started as a simple idea quickly became something much greater.
As the restaurant grew, the bookstore gradually gave way to a full-service café known for homemade Southern cooking, warm hospitality, and Sandy's famous rolls. Eventually the Café moved into its current location, where it continues serving guests from across Kentucky and beyond.
Though much has changed over the years, one thing has remained the same: every meal served helps support the ministry that inspired it all.
