Galilean Home Ministries

• One act of compassion.
• One open door.
• One life forever changed.
For more than fifty years, Galilean Home Ministries, a Christian nonprofit in Liberty, Kentucky, has welcomed children and adults with special needs into a place where they are loved, cared for, and reminded that they are deeply valued by God.

Faith. Hope. And room for one more.

One Family

Before there was a ministry...
Before there was a campus...
Before there were homes and classrooms...
There was simply a family who found it difficult to say "no" when someone needed love.
What began as one family's willingness to trust God became a place where countless others would eventually find hope.

One Child

Every resident has a name. A story. Dreams. Challenges. A favorite meal. A favorite song. A smile that brightens the room.
We don't simply care for groups of people.
We care for people.
One person at a time.
We don't simply care for groups of people—we care for people. Each resident who comes through our doors is known, loved, and welcomed as part of the Galilean family. Whether they need lifelong care, encouragement, education, or simply a place to belong, we believe every life reflects the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity.
Because while we may serve many, our calling has always remained the same: to love one person at a time.

A Place Called Home

When people hear the word home, they often think of a building. We think of something much more personal.
Home is sharing meals around the table. It's celebrating birthdays, learning new skills, laughing together, praying together, and walking through life's challenges side by side. It's where friendships grow, routines become comforting, and every person is reminded that they are loved.
For the residents of Galilean Home Ministries, this isn't simply where they receive care. It's where they belong.

Growing Beyond One Home

What began around one family's kitchen table didn't stop there.
Today, Galilean Home Ministries continues serving as a Christian special needs ministry, providing residential care, Christian education, and opportunities that help every person flourish in a loving community.
As God continued to open doors, Galilean Home Ministries grew in ways Jerry and Sandy Tucker could never have imagined. New opportunities to serve appeared, and each one was embraced with the same heart that started it all: a desire to love people well and point them to Christ.
That mission reaches far beyond the residential homes. Through Galilean Christian Academy, hundreds of students receive a Christ-centered education. Through Bread of Life Café, the ministry is supported by a restaurant that not only helps fund the work but also creates meaningful employment opportunities for some of the residents.
Though the ministry has grown over the years, its purpose has never changed. It is still about opening doors, serving people with compassion, and trusting God to do what only He can do.

One Story at a Time

It started with one.
One family opened their home.
One child was welcomed.
Today, that same heart continues through every person who calls Galilean home. Every resident has a unique story, and every story is a reminder that lives are changed one relationship, one act of kindness, and one day at a time.
These are just a few of those stories.

One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time.
Whether you're spending time with residents, helping during special events, assisting with projects around campus, or serving in another capacity, your willingness to show up can make a lasting impact.
Volunteering isn't simply about completing tasks—it's about building relationships, sharing encouragement, and reflecting the love of Christ through everyday acts of kindness.
If you're interested in serving, we'd love to hear from you and help you discover where your gifts and interests can best be used.

Every gift helps Galilean Home Ministries provide loving care, Christian education, and meaningful opportunities for the children and adults we serve.
Your generosity supports daily needs like safe homes, meals, education, activities, and transportation—helping remind each resident they are deeply loved and valued.
We are truly grateful for your support. Every donation is received with sincere thanks and helps continue a story God has been unfolding for more than fifty years.
Thank you for partnering with us as we share the hope and love of Christ.

None of This Happened Alone

It's easy to look across the campus today and see homes, classrooms, and a busy café.
What isn't as easy to see are the thousands of prayers that have been offered, the countless volunteer hours that have been given, and the faithful generosity that has sustained this ministry for more than five decades.
Galilean Home Ministries has never been the work of one family alone. It has been the work of churches, friends, volunteers, supporters, and neighbors who believed that every life is worth loving.
To everyone who has walked alongside this ministry—whether through prayer, service, encouragement, or giving...

thank you!

Your faithfulness has become part of every story written here.

Whether you choose to pray, serve, give, or simply stay connected, you become part of a story that is still unfolding—one changed life at a time.
